Family Fun Day

The family fun day was held on Saturday and it was such a fantastic day. All four LKS2 classes worked extremely hard towards the event and this resulted in us raising a whopping £450 towards our outdoor areas. Thank you to everyone who came to support this event.

Google Exhibition

Today we were so lucky that we got to experience Google Exhibitions using the virtual reality headsets. We were able to look around James Bond's Aston Martin DB11. It was such a great experience and we hope to use these in the future to explore more amazing areas.

Easter Egg Hunts

Today we have been collaborating with Class 8, creating clues for our Easter Egg Hunt which people will be able to play at our Family Fun Day. We used the app, Gamar, to hide eggs around the field and created clues so that people will be able to find them. Make sure you come along to our Family Fun Day on Saturday 25th March 2017 from 11am-1pm.

Learning environments

We just LOVE all our different learning environments. It gives us the advantage of learning in any way we choose and if we change our mind we just move somewhere more comfy!

 








 


   

Swimming Competition

Today, members of Classes 7 and 8 took part in a swimming competition at City School.
We entered the following races:
- Breast stroke
- Freestyle
- Backstroke
- Canon Relay
- Team Relay

We were competing against 17 schools and managed to end the competition in 5th place. Miss McMunn was so proud of the behaviour, sportsmanship and perseverance shown on the day.

World Book Day

We had an amazing time celebrating World Book Day, dressing as our favourite characters and reading with our grown ups! Emily even won best dressed for LKS2.

Symmetry

This morning we began by discussing what symmetry was and how we could show it using lego.

After that, we had a variety of different shapes we were looking at and labelling the different lines of symmetry in each one. As a challenge we then had to redraw a harder shape ensuring it was symmetrical on both sides and some children had a go at applying this knowledge to SATs style questions!
