Learning about Autism

This afternoon we began by discussing what makes each of us different and what is special about our personalities. We had a fantastic discussion about how it's okay for us all to be different and that's what makes our world so amazing.

We then watched a video about how life can be different when you are a person with autism and then discussed these differences. Some people shared things they found tricky in life too!



After this, we created presentations to inform people of the following things:
- What autism is
- What people we autism can find tricky
- What the signs are of someone having a 'hard time'
- How you can be a good friend to someone with autism

We then shared these with Miss McMunn and the SENCo, Miss Mitchell, so that they could be used to teach others in the future.
