Our first mini outcome this term is to create a poppy wave, like the one feature below which was built at Lincoln Castle this summer.
We have already done lots of research into who created the ceramic poppies at the castle and we found out it was Paul Cummins and Tom Piper.
On Wednesday, we looked at lots of different photos of poppies and decided on our success criteria for our own designs. After that, we created a variety of different designs, chose the best to draw and colour on card and then got our friends to critique them. Next we will be redrafting them before having a go at making them using a variety of different materials and media.
Keep checking our blog to see how we are getting on with them!
